Florida State University and University of North Florida are excited to be hosting the ACUP 2008 conference. We are busy planning an educational event for you. We’re positive you’ll leave with viable initiatives to help manage your business. We know our industry continues its surge in changing technologies. Our conference will focus on how knowledge, vision, and solutions are important to the future growth of in-plant printing!

Knowledge allows us to strengthen our ties with the educational mission of our colleges and universities. It allows us to better communicate with our customers while providing a positive experience for all. Knowledge allows us to train and advance our work-force; enhancing production, workflow and motivation.

Vision makes us better leaders and allows us to stay on top of the wave. We need to know the technology trends, working and partnering with our vendors is critical. We must know the directions of our institutions so that we can stay aligned with the core missions and provide value while supporting our departments. We must understand the changing workforce so we can adapt our management style to ensure we continue to strengthen our human resources.

Solutions that are creative and effective are the magic wand. Creating budget savings for our institutions is a needed part of the solution. Our upper management should be aware of and identify with the solutions we bring. These savings efficiencies combined with customer and industry knowledge are part of our worth. We strive to add more value than our competition. 

We believe the conference agenda we are planning will reflect these issues. Our vendors are an invaluable tool for us. We will be joined by the brightest resources in our industry, the companies that sell us hardware, software, and services that we need to operate a strong business. They provide us an opportunity to view the latest technology in our industry, and help offer the solutions we seek.

We want you to enjoy time networking and learning from our industry peers. The ACUP group has always shared and discussed information. When we come together seeking and exchanging knowledge, vision, and solutions, we will return back to our institutions better prepared and more energized for the constant changes of our industry.
